Sheep Love, 18 x 24 Ronald McDonald House Charities Baltimore (RMH) is building a new house in the historic Jonestown neighborhood of Baltimore. Scheduled to open in early 2019, Our New House will more than double the space of the current house so that families will no longer have to be turned away. Our efforts to offer the most effective and compassionate family-centered care in the world will continue in a new space filled with love. In order to ensure a joyful energy within Our New House, and knowing that art can strengthen healing and lift the human spirit, RMH is seeking artists who will contribute artwork as part of the joyful décor. Not only will this donated art reach a world-wide audience of RMH visitors, but colorful, happy artwork is sure to bring comfort to the seriously ill children and their families who call this their home-away-from-home while they receive care. As we hope to spotlight artistic diversity and fill the house with the creative talent found from our community, we are asking that artists consider creating an original custom art piece or donate an existing work to hang on our walls.

Ronald McDonald House Charities built a new house in the historic Jonestown neighborhood of Baltimore in 2019. I’m hoping that my artwork brings comfort to the seriously ill children and their families who stay while they receive care. They asked me to include a heart in the artwork. Can you find four? Thanks to Clark’s Elioak Farm in Howard County for allowing me to paint and photograph their sheep.
